Walfas Transport: VNIITE-PT Taxi Minivan

This is walfasized VNIITE-PT(Rus. ВНИИТЭ-ПТ(Всесоюзного Научно-исследовательского института техническиой эстетики Перспективное Такси), translit. Vsesoyuznogo Nauchno-Issledovatelskovo instituta tekhnicheskoi estetiki Perspektivnoe Taksi; Perspective Taxi of Union Scientific Research Institute of Technical Aesthetics) - Soviet concept passenger car, a specialized taxi minivan.
In the 1950s, road transport Soviet specialists found that the conditions of a car-taxi are fundamentally different from those of general-purpose car. It was decided that the taxi service needs a special car - bus-like by arrangement, fairly reliable, but compact and manoeuvrable, and roomy - with a flat floor of saloon, internal trunk, wide doors and a separate driver's place. In accordance with this idea, in 1962 issued a decree of the Council of Ministers on the establishment of a specialized taxi.
The only sample a taxi, designed by a team of VNIITE, passed performance tests on the streets of Moscow, and was recommended for the construction of an experimental batch on ErAZ, but because of organizational troubles its serial production was failed.
The car now is placed in the State of the Military Technical Museum, located in the Moscow region, Ivanovo village near Chernogolovka.
